DEB TUCKER PLAY DAY  -  Quilting Tools

Let’s do something different! Instead of a quilt or table runner, let’s do something fun and stress free.  Just some fun to boost your skills for Deb’s and other quilting projects.

We’ll use three of the newer Technique Sheets to create samples. You’ll learn how easy these are to use and to create units that look really difficult.

Birds of Paradise Technique Sheet—this fun unit looks like a Flying Geese unit—but not so!  Use your Square Squared tool to make it. (If you have the Large Square Squared tool, you’ll bring it to class, too.) We’ll do variations that you’ll love.

Cyclone Technique Sheet—doesn’t this one look difficult? Well, of course it isn’t . Using the Tucker Trimmer 3, you’ll make this little beauty easily and quickly. And four of these blocks make a sensational quilt center!

Shaded 9-Patch—We all love the Shaded 4-Patch, but this one takes that idea to a whole new level.  Using the Tucker Trimmer 1, make this unit that will create a WOW for your quilt.

LET’S TUCKERIZE THAT!

Have you seen a pattern in a magazine or book that you really like, but would like to use Deb’s tools and methods?  Probably!  Bring your favorite pattern, book or magazine and we’ll Tuckerize it in class. You will learn how to spot the units that can be done with Deb’s tools and how to adapt the pattern to make it easier. This is a great skill to have in your quilting arsenal.
